Winemaker's Notes:
70% new oak, 40% whole cluster fermentation, 3 different elevations in the Vineyard, which provide different growing regions and allows us to harvest each "Steppe" at different times, when the grapes are perfectly ripe. With reserve, we use some of our very best blocks in the Vineyard. For Example, our clone 667 is from Block 12 North, which is on the western edge of our Upper Steppe, and is the most windswept, with very low yields. These grapes are the foundation to provide a wine that is balanced, yet powerful. Our Reserve has the delicacy to be enjoyed today and the structure to be rested for years.
